       o ·  Participants need to be registered for at least 1 day of the annual conference 

Activities Coordinator Report: Emma Fish (Substituting for Grace Couture)

       o   The same 7 schools announced at the last meeting still remain the only schools participating, these include:

                       Ohio State
                       Ohio University
                       University of Toledo
                       Walsh University
                       University of Cincinnati
                       University of Dayton

         o    University of Cincinnati is still in the lead with 121 hours and Toledo is in a close second with 106 hours. Ohio State is the third school with submitted hours at 36 hours. If you haven’t submitted your hours from PT Day of Service, please try and get                   those in before the New Year.

                 o    Only 22% of PT and PTA programs are currently signed up, but I know we can get that to ⅓! If you didn’t hear your school’s name, we’d love to have you! Please visit the OPTA website  to sign up for the challenge and see the monthly hour updates.

2018 - 2019 OPTA SSIG Goals

  1.  Create and foster collaboration with the Early Professionals SIG.
  2. Expand representation and involvement of PTA programs within the SSIG.
  3. Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of information dissemination to students from the OPTA SSIG through regular use of social media and consistent communication with school representatives.
  4. Highlight the benefits of membership in order to support OPTA’s goal of increasing membership 4% annually.
