o   Transform 2019 OPTA’s Annual conference - April 5-6, 2019 

    Early Bird registration closed

o    OPTA Treasurer, Marcus Williams, PT, DPT, MBA, will be speaking on how membership dues are utilized to further the mission and purpose of the the OPTA and how it is vital to its function.

o     Academy of Clinical Electrophysiology and Wound Management SSIG

o     The goal of this SSIG is to connect students who share an interest in wound care, biophysical agents, electrophysiology, and limb loss with a network of clinicians specialized in these areas.

o     Looking to continue to build this board with representation from PT and PTA students

2018 - 2019 OPTA SSIG Goals

  1.  Create and foster collaboration with the Early Professionals SIG.
  2. Expand representation and involvement of PTA programs within the SSIG.
  3. Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of information dissemination to students from the OPTA SSIG through regular use of social media and consistent communication with school representatives.
  4. Highlight the benefits of membership in order to support OPTA’s goal of increasing membership 4% annually.
