APTA’s Vision Statement for the Physical Therapy profession is Transforming society by optimizing movement to improve the human experience. The guiding principles to achieve the vision include facilitating movement as a key to optimal quality of life for all people that extends beyond health to every person's ability to participate in and contribute to society. That’s why "OPTimize MOVEment: OPTA's Lecture Series and Research Showcase" will focus on advancing the integration of the movement system as the core of physical therapist (PT/PTA) practice, education, and research. The "movement system" represents the collection of systems (cardiovascular, pulmonary, endocrine, integumentary, nervous, and musculoskeletal) that interact to move the body or its component parts.
Whether you’re a professional or student, you're sure to benefit from attending OPTimize 2019 by hearing from content leaders as they focus in on the evidence that supports the physical therapy practice and interventions for movement across the lifespan and across the continuum - including all practice areas. Don't miss this conference as we always feature the best content and the best content leaders!
The program has been approved for 7 CEUs, #19S1622.
