Population Health and Movement
Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center - 6.0 CEUs Approved for Ohio (#18S7847)
Transforming society by optimizing movement to improve the human experience is APTA’s Vision Statement for the Physical Therapy Profession. APTA supports physical therapist efforts to create, implement, evaluate, and lead new initiatives to introduce population health approaches to transform society. The guiding principles to achieve the vision include facilitating movement as a key to optimal quality of life for all people that extends beyond health to every person's ability to participate in and contribute to society. The multifaceted needs of the community, such as those resulting from a sedentary lifestyle, call for our profession to engage with consumers to lessen preventable health care costs and overcome barriers to participation in society.
OPTimize: OPTA's Lecture Series & Research Showcase on population health and movement will focus on the evidence to support physical therapy practice and interventions for population health and movement across the continuum—including all portions of the lifespan and in all practice areas.
Whether you’re a professional or student, you will benefit from attending OPTimize 2018 by hearing from presenters as they discuss innovations in physical therapy field that will enhance population health services. We feature the best content and the best content leaders!
Tickets for OPTA's PAC Raffle prize package will be available at registration. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 -- ticket sales benefit the OPT-Political Action Committee. Winner will be announced Saturday at the Leadership Development Conference -- need not be present to win.
