Who do you choose? Browns? Bengals? Neither? We want to hear from you! We have entered our the fourth quarter of our PAC challenge and this time its football themed. All you have to do is select your team of choice and donate to the OPT-PAC. Your donation counts as your vote and at the end we will see which team has the biggest fan base.

Not sure why you should donate to the PAC? Hear what some of our members have to say,

"Like most therapists, I don't feel like my job ends when I go home for the day.  Contributing to the PAC allows me to be an advocate for my patients outside of work." - James Lee, PT, DPT

"I have long given to the APTA-PAC as a double eagle donor; however, this year I saw the OPTA pursue a change in our licensure act with the addition of diagnosis, which was exciting.  However, I also want to see the inclusion of the ordering of imaging,              which was removed in the current bill.  I see giving as a way to assure that we continue to make progress in the scope of practice to match the level of preparation of our current physical therapists. The OPT-PAC is critical to this progress." Deborah Larsen, PT, PhD, FAPTA

"Over my 18 years as a physical therapist I have seen many changes in reimbursement and practice models.  As PT’s and PTA’s we are uniquely positioned to deliver value as payments move from rewarding procedures to rewarding value. As I meet with            legislators, I realize how little they know about our profession and how we impact the triple aim of improved patient satisfaction, decreased costs, and enhanced outcomes. We must have strong advocates at the table to ensure that our profession is                    represented when decisions are debated that affect the health of our patients and the livelihood of therapists. The PAC funds efforts to educate and support legislators who will stand up and fight for what is right, at times in opposition to other better funded        organizations. That is why I support the PAC." - David Wessells, PT, MPT

"When asked why to give money to the PAC it makes me think, why does anyone give money to any organization or charity? I give money to the organizations and charities that I feel passionate about. I give to those that I feel will impact my life and those          around me in a positive light. All of these qualities are represented when I donate to the PAC. A donation provides direct support for our current profession and it's future. I want physical therapy to be well represented when issues arise. I also give to the PAC        because it directly affects my patients. We are constantly fighting for proper payment, quality time with patients and quality care. Helping people is the main reason why I chose this profession. Be an active part of your profession and make a donation to the        PAC." - Heather Schradin, PT, DPT

As you can see, donations are a big part of how we can continue to advocate for the profession. Your dollars go far when you give to the OPT-PAC.
