Join the West Central District for a CE event on Wednesday, September 19, "Abdomino-Pelvic Physical Therapy: Function, Dysfunction, and Treatment Options." The course will cover abdomino-pelvic function and dysfunction including anatomy, the urinary system, the bowel system, and pelvic floor musculature. There will be detailed explanations and discussion regarding evidence-based treatment options for dysfunctions within varying populations (including those with neurological deficits). A comprehensive overview of orthopedic screening as it relates to the pelvic floor and possible dysfunction will be discussed. In addition, common pregnancy and post-partum related issues as well as complications regarding the natural aging process (i.e. menopause) will be addressed.
