Presenter Info: Dr. Lizanne Mulligan has been a faculty member in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Cincinnati since the inception of the PT Program in 1994.
She was appointed as the PT Program administrator in September 2001. She earned a BS in Physical Therapy from St. Louis University and a PhD in Anatomy and Cell Biology from the University of Cincinnati. She has over 30 years of experience as a physical therapist. In addition, Dr. Mulligan serves as a volunteer adjunct professor in the Department of Medical Education in the College of Medicine and is a lab instructor for the Gross Anatomy course for medical students. Dr. Mulligan will be assisted in the lab by students from the UC DPT Program.
Course Description: This course is a regional gross anatomy review of the upper extremity. The course will be approximately 1.5 hours in length and will include a powerpoint review followed by a review in the anatomy lab. Prosected cadavers, anatomical specimens, atlases and handouts will be used to facilitate the participant’s understanding of structure, location and function of muscles, nerves and other anatomic structures in the region of study.
